GP clinics are open - changes in the way we are seeing patients
GP clinics are still open. However we are changing the way we are seeing patients to help stop the spread of COVID-19 and to keep you, us and all our whanau safe. This applies to the COVID-19 level 4 lockdown AND level 3 restrictions.
We can still assist you with your concerns and medical problems that you would normally see your GP or nurse for. This includes long term medical conditions, repeat prescriptions, immunisations, accident/injuries, wound care, acute medical problems, contraception and sexual health. Because Delta is aerosol spread, and has an ability to transmit even in vaccinated people, we are doing as many examinations and procedures in the safer environment of the car, and delaying non urgent interventions for a few weeks though.
Please do not arrive at our medical centre without notice. Please call reception for all bookings. Help keep ourselves and our community safe.
All appointments currently are booked as phone consultations through reception or the Manage My Health patient portal. Face to face consultations will be arranged only after discussing need and strategies for doing so with your doctor. Please be patient with us: we are juggling a lot, requiring longer cleaning procedures, looking at alternative patient care strategies with support services closed or restricted, in between covid swabbing at the moment.
We are still accepting new patients. Please call reception to book an appointment.
If you have COVID-19 related questions or concerns, please check the front page links. Alternatively you can call Healthline on 0800 358 5453 or call our clinic nurse.
We understand that this is a difficult time for everyone and we want to assure you that we will continue to be here for you, and your whanau, and will continue to provide continuity of care.
Kia kaha!
